We were there on Easter Sunday in the afternoon. The neighborhood is really nice, the bar was not packed but few tables were open. From the beginning we were told that the kitchen was backed up but the food didn’t take as long as we expected.
We ordered chili, wings, tuna melt and garlic bread. All very good with the wings clearly the best.
Also, a big selection of beers, local and regular brands.
We went to Gabriel’s Gate for dinner on a Saturday night, and what a fantastic experience it was!
The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was phenomenal.
The homemade French onion soup was the best I have ever tasted, and the wings definitely deserve the award for biggest and tastiest wings in Buffalo!
I +++ recommend GG for an excellent dining experience.
We had a fun evening in this lovely neighborhood bar and grill. Good food and drink and atmosphere. Highly recommended for the wings.
We were passing thru Buffalo on Easter Sunday and had planned on stopping for wings at the “famous” Buffalo Wings place. Since they were closed when we arrived we searched Trip Advisor for an alternative. Gabriel ‘s Gate was our choice…I think it was divine intervention. The wings were outstanding, the Reuben was as good as I’d ever had in my favorite NYC delis and our server Mary was all we could ask for. On top of all that, this place oozes character and history. Next time we pass thru Buffalo, this place will be a must stop.
We were meeting friends for dinner before a show at Shea’s, and they were doing the Buffalo Wing trail, and Gabriels Gate was on their list of p;aces to go – so we agreed to meet here.
This is a very popular pub style eatery with a very eclectic feel décor.
It is located in an historic old row house building, filled with lots of character and history in Allentown district
It’s a very popular place – especially on a Saturday – so expect a wait when you arrive during dinner.
We ordered different chicken sandwiches – the Delaware and Norwood. We also had to try some wings – so we had a an appetizer of cajun wings
The food was very satisfying and fulfilling.
The Wings were very nice – and flavourful.
Our server was fantastic – always very attentive and pleasant
We had a great time at this very cozy eatery that has been serving up good food to buffalo for over 50 years.
